These are typically software´s, which can simulate subsurface processes based on a mathematical process description. As there a various kind of processes each of them with specific experts and tools it is split into geochemical, geophysical, fluid flow and geomechanical processes. The research community will benefit enormously if these programs can be firstly shared and benchmarked and later jointly developed.
