Part of Isabelle's speech
…By my decoration tonight, it is the storage of CO2 that is in the spotlight. This is the first time it seems that a national distinction in the world has been given to a researcher working in this field. A great acknowledgement for this new technology to fight global warming! I would like to congratulate all the researchers in France and around the world who are working to develop it.
… In particular, the CO2GeoNet epic has been a great adventure, only possible through real collective work, which proved to be very creative, constructive and structuring. How nice it is to work in these conditions! I must say that it has been a moment of grace in my career, because I have never felt this same momentum so strongly at other times.
Therefore I am very honoured and touched by the presence today of the whole CO2GeoNet Executive Committee, the successive CO2GeoNet Presidents, and all of you who have responsibilities in various bodies and networks for developing CCS and make it happen.
Congratulations for your work, continue your efforts with perseverance and conviction!
